McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle This plane is a Air Force aircraft. The Eagle is a very good aircraft. McDonnell Douglas said: "not a pound for the ground." that means that they didn't want the eagle to be used as ground attack aircraft. Later though, they made it into a ground strike plane, and used it very effectively. That style was called the Strike Eagle. The F-15 has been serving for a number of years, it might go out and be replaced by F-22's. The original Eagle was a single-seater, and the Stike Eagle had two seats. There could be two types of people that sat in the second seat. One, could be a wepons officer, and another could be a flight instructor. If you look very close on the F-15, you will see two fuel tanks on the air intakes.
