Lockheed C-130 Hercules This plane is a millitary aircraft. It is used in all, or almost all of the branches of the armed forces. The Hercules was designed as a project, like the A-4. They wanted an airplane with a tail ramp, not a nose one. There were other requirements, but I didn't put them. The C-130 pictured above is known as the Fat Albert. It uses JATO (Jet-Assisted Take-Off). That means that it starts to take off, using just propellers, and then it's rocket- jets turn on, it rockets up into the sky very fast. The Fat Albert is used by the Blue Angels, a Navy flying group. The Hercules was a good invention, because it has been in for 50 years.
