Lockheed S-3 Viking This plane is a Navy aircraft. The Viking is said to be as tough as it's name. While Lockheed was making it, they put the eingines under the wings, and the eingines were fuel effecent. It was used as an anti-sub aircraft, so it would carry bombs and torpedos. Sometimes, it would have a long sensor comming out the back, as picured as pictured in the lower left of this page. That would help it catch submarines. It would also drop radar sensors into the water, to help look for unwanted vehicles. For all I know, it lived a happy life, and then retired 2014.
